Reflection

As an educator, to be effective, I must balance the technology tools available to enhance learning and promote engagement and success.

We see the benefits of game-based learning in that it promotes engagement and academic achievement in the real world. It is a very dynamic method of instructing students and students can develop skills and competence.

We also see the benefits of web-based Assessment help students to demonstrate an understanding of the content of the lesson by differentiating instruction.  Differentiation of lessons and assessments can be done in three groups, the high group, middle group, and low group. Finally using assistive technology in the classroom, allow all students access to educational materials and resources and enhances good quality education so all students can achieve academically and socially.

Three lessons I take away from this course are differentiation through technology as all children are equal in the sight of God and deserve a good quality education.

I have been challenged to employ and integrate technology in my classroom as it enhances student engagement, learning, and success.

I have been changed as I am more equipped and ready to employ the various technologies learned in my classroom.

I would take with me how to apply the various technology techniques in my classroom to help not only general ed students but students with disabilities.  Speechify is something I would like to try in my classroom so students who have difficulty in reading and writing might be better able to decode words and understand the text better.
